Virgin Voyages replaced Cabo San Lucas with Ensenada on Brilliant Lady’s October 3, 2026 sailing from Los Angeles. In its October 2 advisory, the line said Hurricane Rachel had moved away from the route, but remaining swell made tender transfers at Cabo unsafe or uncomfortable.
The updated schedule placed Ensenada on October 4, from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., followed by a sea day on October 5 instead of the planned Cabo visit. Mazatlán’s October 6 stop also shifted to 11 a.m.–8 p.m. Puerto Vallarta remained scheduled for October 7, with the voyage returning to Los Angeles on October 10.
Virgin said passengers who booked Cabo excursions through the cruise line would receive automatic full refunds to their original payment method. Those with independent tours should contact their providers about their options.
Reported by Cruise Hive on October 2, the change applies to this particular sailing. Virgin’s advisory does not announce a cancellation for a later departure.
