Hapag-Lloyd Cruises has outlined the first details of two shipyard visits planned for 2027. In its October 6, 2026 announcement, the company said Europa 2 will enter a Singapore yard in January, while Europa will follow in Bremerhaven in the autumn.

Europa 2’s work includes new color schemes in about 250 suites and a refresh of the Atrium and its Piano Bar. The Sakura and Elements specialty restaurants will receive visual changes, with additional changes to the Elements concept also planned. The wider program includes technical upgrades and maintenance.

Details for Europa are still being developed. Hapag-Lloyd says it will share more information about both ships in the coming months.

For travelers comparing upcoming sailings with older cabin tours, the January timing is worth noting: existing Europa 2 photographs may not reflect the planned finishes. The announcement describes future work rather than completed improvements, and does not yet provide the full scope of Europa’s autumn refit.
