Navigator of the Seas is heading to Asia after nearly five years of regular Los Angeles sailings. Cruise Industry News reported on October 10, 2026 that the Royal Caribbean ship had begun its Pacific repositioning voyage earlier this month.
The transition includes a 15-night crossing to Japan before the ship continues toward Southeast Asia. Royal Caribbean’s Singapore website confirms an October 2026 start for its Singapore program.
The line’s advertised itineraries include shorter sailings to Malaysia and Thailand, alongside longer regional options. Travelers comparing departures should check the exact itinerary, because the ship’s Asia deployment covers several cruise lengths and routes.
According to the October 10 report, Navigator will remain in Asia through October 2027 before returning to California for a winter season. That is a planned future deployment, rather than a permanent withdrawal from the West Coast.
For Southern California travelers familiar with Navigator’s short Mexico cruises, the immediate change is the ship’s departure region. Existing reservations should be checked against Royal Caribbean’s own sailing documents.
