Norwegian Cruise Line has opened two additional inaugural Mediterranean cruises aboard Norwegian Aura. In its October 9, 2026 announcement, NCL says anticipated early delivery will allow the ship to begin welcoming passengers on May 2, 2027.
The first new departure is a 10-day trip from Trieste to Athens’ port of Piraeus. Calls include Dubrovnik, Split, Bar, Corfu, Santorini and Mykonos. A nine-day return journey to Trieste leaves Piraeus on May 12, adding Rhodes and Zadar to its itinerary.
Aura is then scheduled to sail from Trieste to Barcelona on May 21 before crossing the Atlantic and beginning Caribbean cruises from Miami in June.
These newly opened departures move the first available sailing earlier; the ship is not yet in service. Travelers who want the earliest voyage should compare the new dates with their existing plans, while checking booking conditions and allowing for the uncertainties that accompany a ship still awaiting delivery.
