A woman who went overboard from Royal Caribbean’s Odyssey of the Seas on October 9, 2026, has been rescued alive. Cruise Fever’s October 10 update identifies the ship, while a subsequent Hellenic Coast Guard statement confirms the rescue operation off Greece.

According to the Coast Guard’s October 11 bulletin, the cargo ship MSC Rossella III located the missing passenger early on October 10. A Coast Guard rescue vessel recovered her and brought her to Katakolo.

The search began after authorities were alerted on October 9 to a passenger overboard approximately 72 nautical miles southwest of Zakynthos. Coast Guard vessels, nearby ships and a Greek Air Force helicopter participated.

Cruise Fever reports that Odyssey was sailing from Mykonos toward Naples when the incident occurred. The scheduled Naples visit was subsequently canceled.

The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. This report does not draw conclusions about how or why the woman entered the water.
