PortMiami expects seven to ten cruise ships alongside on 81 days during its 2026–27 season, according to an October 17, 2026 Cruise Industry News report citing a port announcement.

December stands out: more than ten days that month are expected to bring nine or ten ships at once. Weekends will carry the largest passenger volumes, including calls by Icon of the Seas and MSC World America.

The port has also developed a traffic-management plan with cruise lines and other partners. Reported measures include better passenger information, technology-assisted coordination and complimentary airport transfers on selected cruises, not a universal transfer benefit.

For travelers, the practical takeaway is to build a sensible buffer into the journey to the terminal while following the cruise line’s assigned arrival window. A crowded port calendar does not itself mean a sailing is delayed. Check your own terminal, transfer arrangements and embarkation instructions before setting off.
