Swan Hellenic’s 2027 Explore Space at Sea program will pair six expedition cruises with scientists and specialists connected to the SETI Institute, according to an October 15, 2026 report from Cruise Industry News. Each sailing will feature a different expert discussing astronomy, planetary science and the search for life beyond Earth.
The series begins with Ross Beyer aboard SH Minerva from Auckland to Honiara, March 21–April 3. Uma Gorti joins SH Vega’s Ushuaia-to-Montevideo sailing, March 25–April 8. In May, Derek Kozel sails Dakar to Lisbon on SH Diana, while Bill Diamond and Megan Seritan accompany separate SH Vega voyages linking Canada, Iceland and Svalbard.
Janice Bishop rounds out the program aboard SH Diana from Cape Town to Ushuaia, October 29–November 18. All six departures are in 2027. The lineup spans several regions and seasons, with each guest expert tied to a particular departure rather than every cruise.
