VIVA Cruises has opened its 2028 river-cruise program, with 325 departures across seven ships in its tenth-anniversary year, according to an October 19, 2026 report from Cruise Industry News.
The operator’s 2028 program puts more emphasis on the Danube. VIVA Moments will join that fleet after an extensive 2027 renovation, VIVA Enjoy will offer more Vienna round trips, and Regensburg becomes an embarkation and disembarkation point. VIVA Two adds five-night itineraries.
Elsewhere, the schedule expands seven-night Moselle departures from Düsseldorf and introduces four-night Rhine trips aboard VIVA One, calling at Bonn, Mainz and Koblenz. VIVA Ruby has a ten-night journey from Basel through Nancy to Düsseldorf.
Themed departures cover jazz, crime fiction, food and wine, and wellness. More than 320 shore excursions across 13 river regions are available to book online from the program’s launch. Travelers should compare the individual itinerary and themed sailing carefully: these additions are spread across the fleet, rather than offered on every departure.
