Travelers on six upcoming Carnival departures should plan for a group safety drill before sailing, according to guest notices reported by Cruise Hive. The affected departures are Carnival Spirit on October 8; Carnival Luminosa on October 9; Carnival Legend and Carnival Radiance on October 11; and Carnival Firenze and Carnival Miracle on October 12, 2026. The report says participation is mandatory and onboard announcements will guide guests through the process. Passengers on these sailings should read their own pre-cruise notices and follow crew instructions rather than assuming the usual embarkation routine applies.

This is a sailing-specific change. Carnival’s published guidance continues to describe self-mustering, in which guests check in at their assigned station and receive a lifejacket demonstration before departure. The station is identified on the boarding pass, Sail & Sign card or cabin key. Completing that safety step remains part of embarkation, regardless of which format a particular sailing uses.
